JOE SURPRISED ME WITH A BIRTHDAY DINNER FRIDAY NIGHT!! I think this marks the first occasion in which he planned a celebration, in my honor, without any input from me. What I thought was going to be a quiet, last minute dinner that I had planned with two of our friends, turned out to be a nine-person dinner, complete with post-meal bar appearances that he had been planning FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS! Did I mention it was at my favorite restaurant and the sunset was spectacular? And all of my friends were there? And some of them even had gifts? I was stunned, touched, elated, and very, very impressed.
I was up until 2AM this morning reading the girliest, warm-fuzziest, man-I-wish-that-would-happen-to-me-ist book ever. Thank you, Jamie, for the book Can You Keep A Secret? I don't feel smarter for reading it, but who cares? I took it down in a single evening, so it must be good, right? Clearly, I must have revealed somewhere along the way that I have a secret love for pink lawn flamingos.
