I'm glad to see that Boston is near the bottom of the list because that means my living within a 200 mile radius of the city that speaks with the accent world's version of the platypus has had negligible impact on my speech.  I'm actually surprised that "The Inland North" was not higher on the list, especially since I used to get asked at least once a week if I was from Wisconsin...and I had no clue that I had an accent.

cynical...me?

When I realized that "lame" was one of my favorite ways to describe just about anything, I decided to take a short diagnostic quiz to see if I was, perhaps, suffering from the effects of cynicism.  It turns out that on a scale of credulous to crusty old man, I fall somewhere in the middle.  So, instead of having an honest to goodness, scientific disease to blame for my nay-saying, it turns out I just have an incredibly small vocabulary.
